Hudson Cook Partner Nikki Munro named to 2020 Women in Auto Finance Honoree List

Hudson Cook is pleased to announce that Nicole ("Nikki") Munro, a partner in the firm's Maryland office, has been named by Cherokee Media Group to the third annual Women in Auto Finance list. According to the announcement in Auto Fin Journal, this industry award program is part of the initiatives that honor the most dedicated and talented professionals from throughout the used-car industry. The winners will be highlighted in the September/October issue of Auto Fin Journal, and honored during the all-digital Used Car Week 2020 in November and December.

Nikki is Editor in Chief of CounselorLibrary.com's CARLAW publication. She counsels financial services providers on compliance with consumer financial services laws, including unfair, deceptive, and abusive acts or practices, as well as the investigations, rulemakings, and proceedings of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and the Federal Trade Commission. Nikki assists national and state banks, credit unions, and other licensed lenders, sales finance companies, and motor vehicle dealers in the development and maintenance of nationwide consumer automobile finance programs; online motor vehicle sales assistance programs; and electronic payment programs. She assists DMS providers of documents and software with federal and state law compliance; provides responses to regulator examinations; provides comments on proposed statutes and regulations to legislators and regulators.

Among her many accomplishments, Nikki is honored to be one of 16 Hudson Cook attorneys to be named as a Fellow of the American College of Consumer Financial Services Lawyers, "a professional association of lawyers particularly skilled and experienced in handling consumer financial services matters and dedicated to the improvement and enhancement of the skill and practice of consumer financial services law and the ethics of the profession." She is also proud to be ranked in Chambers USA Nationwide in Financial Services Regulation: Consumer Finance (Compliance) and recently named to The Best Lawyers in America©2021 for Financial Services Regulation Law. Nikki is very actively involved in the American Bar Association's Business Law Section and the Consumer Financial Services Committee, and in September will become Secretary of the Business Law Section of the ABA. She is also on the Governing Committee of the Conference on Consumer Finance Law.
