FTC adopts process reforms to streamline investigations and improve transparency. Hudson Cook partner plays key role in encouraging reforms.
This summer, the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) Acting Chairman Maureen K. Ohlhausen announced several internal process reforms in the agency's Bureau of Consumer Protection intended to streamline information requests, improve transparency in Commission investigations, and eliminate unnecessary burdens on businesses. Joel Winston, a partner with the law firm of Hudson Cook in Washington, D.C., was a member of the 2016 Presidential Transition Task Force, which issued a January 2017 report that served as a catalyst for the FTC's current reform initiatives.
