Eric Johnson and Tom Hudson publish article in RV News on FTC crackdown of fake document sellers
In the November 2018 issue of RV News, Eric Johnson and Tom Hudson present a recent case filed by the FTC against operators of websites that sold fake financial and other documents which could be used to facilitate identity theft, tax fraud and other crimes. They caution that buying fake documents and synthetic ID fraud is a huge issue for the finance industry, but the FTC is working to combat these issues.
Tom Hudson is a founding partner of Hudson Cook and has practiced consumer financial services law since 1973. He has focused his practice on matters relating to vehicle financing and leasing.
